Materials for Buu!

Hello everyone. Today Ramunas started tinkering a little bit more with material setups for characters. The results were looking pretty promising.

Additional note: keep in mind that it is not final and textures of Buu are not finished (the equipment part especially). We have a lot of things to do so our development is based on multitasking.

    Hahaha I really love the style you guys are going for. Buu looks so evil and it’s really satisfying seeing DBZ with a realistic, well done, touch.
    It’s much better going for your own style than going for exactly how the look in the anime, it gives you much more freedom and choices to your development in my opinion.

    Could you guys maybe, somewhere in the future, add a road map or a list of features that you have planned for the project? Right now I can only gather info by watching your updates, but I would really like to know your plans for this project.

      Andy(Wolf); We have a roadmap, but its primarily used for our development planning. I know videos are much more preferred then screen shots, but we still need to tweak what we have and polish it up more so that it functions correctly and bug free. Don’t need a big debut to be full of bugs ya know!

      I’m sure you wanting to see what we are mainly planning for combat rather then our view on how the characters and maps should look like. Thing is, we need a starting point, a point of reference. Most other games like Shooters, first and third, and horror games all have current existing reference material to draw ideas and game play mechanics from. Like BattleField or Call of Duty. To Slender and OutLast.

      With DBZ, its a lil different, we don’t have much to go with. We can’t and wont do anything like the consoles. It’ll work just fine for split screen and single player modes, but multiplayer. Its just not feasible given network lag. So we are drawing our main source of gameplay mechanics from an existing DBZ Mod. They are my main source of inspiration to try and carry on their idea’s to a newer generation and engine.

      So all in all, don’t expect anything like the console fighting systems. Its just not gonna work here and is way more complex then it needs to be.

    I don’t have to tell you to fix anything but to be honest this Buu looks great Ramunas. Keep up the good work my brotha!
